Thanks for the URL, Rich!
Are there any pics showing configurations of LCDs with 2 or
more CCFLs?
And is there a way to safely remove one of the CCFLs from my
Dell LCD 
to hopefully make it more tolerable?

And among LCDs with 2 CCFL, do some have lower lumens than
others? Do 
you know which?

BTW, the below URL is incorrect, since it claims that
"everyone" likes 
high brightness. That's just not true. Displays such as the
Thinkpad 
600 series with very low lumens are more tolerable for some
of us.
