Well, finally got my venerable Leaf 45 and Mac 8100 linked and
talking and I excitedly went to work and .....

......... .ooops!

After calibration (multiple) and good looking pre scans, my 35 mm B&W
negative final scans all look
like a much too dark negative image (as if I'd mistakingly scanned a
positive image instead of a B&W negative).

I then tried a mounted 35 mm color positive image (after re-
calibration) and that came correctly out as
a color positive image - but much too dense .........!

Using Leaf plug in in Photoshop 6 ..........

Any advice, suggestion, corrective would be appreciated.

Most concerned about the B&W.

Are you scanning at 8 or 16 bit?

Try them in 8 bit, I think you'll be much happier.
