Delete Attachment/Embedded Files

There are two sets of files that can accompany email
messages. 
Attachments are stored in the Attachments folder. Background
images, 
etc, are stored in the Embedded folder. Is there an
automated way to 
delete these files when you delete a message? I currently
manually 
delete the files when I know I don't need them anymore, but
it would 
be much more convenient if they were deleted when deleting
the 
message they're associated with.
