Blogs and Taxes

I was wondering if anyone had heard of a library using a
blogging
platform to raise awareness of issues relating to a tax/levy
increase?
We are planning to start a push for a new tax increase to
pay for a
new building for our library and we'd like to set up a blog
to capture
patron's/citizen's thoughts on the matter. Has anyone else
done this?
Do you all have any great ideas for pulling something like
this off?
Any help would be appreciated!!
