This is something I only found out about recently. (i.e.
about 2 minutes
ago)
(quoted from their website, because who doesn't love a good
pun?)
"The idea behind this event is to promote Web
Standards. Plain and simple.
This includes proper use of (x)html, semantic markup, a good
hierarchy
structure, and of course, a good 'ol play on words. It's
time to show off
your <body>."
Basically, the idea behind "CSS Naked Day" is that
by turning off your CSS
styles for a day, you'll show that you are actually paying
attention to
accessibility by making sure your site makes sense without
stylesheets.
They also have a quick-and-easy PHP snippet you can put in
to your site's
code to make it remove the stylesheet for CSS Naked Day.
