Dear lighties,
there hasn't been a pre-release since a while and with all
the new code
it SVN it was time again to get more testers for the current
code-base.
The main reason for this release is getting more testers for
mod_proxy_core which is really code and powerful. You should
read give
http://blog.lighttpd.net/articles/2006/07/15/
the-new-mod_proxy_core a
read to get the idea of this new plugin.
http://blog.lighttpd.net/
a> has several articles about the configuration
of this new plugin.

What works ?
- most of the work in the last weeks was around
mod_proxy_core which is
nearly complete now.
What is broken ?
- the old mod_proxy compiles but the test-cases fail
- the native backends for BSD and Solaris won't compile
- OpenSSL support should compile by doesn't work
What is missing ?
- mod_proxy_core misses all backends but HTTP
- mod_cml needs fixes and status-code support
