Director 6 uses an integer value to store information about
the amount
of available memory (real and virtual) on the current
machine. The
problem with that is that some modern computers have
"too much" memory
and the value exceeds the maximum integer value and wraps
negative,
resulting in the memory error you described. The only way to
fix this is
to either (a) reduce the amount of memory on the user's
machine to avoid
the issue, or (b) republish using at least Director 7 as we
converted to
a floating point value in order to fix this issue.
