DebianSlug died . . . solid red light on boot

I've had the same problem as well. I installed my slug with
NFS, Samba,
subversion + apache-ssl, and two amuled servers -- not
really anything that
would be overtaxing to the system. However yesterday I came
home from work,
and found it locked up, with a red LED and I couldn't do
anything to get
into the slug.

I've almost panicked thinking that it is a physical problem
with my slug,
but from the looks of things, it might be DebianSlug. I
hope not, because
I'd really hate to move to OpenSlug or Unslung just to make
this work (I
prefer Debian hands-down).

If it's any consolation, my DebianSlug has been very stable
since I
re-installed on the hard drive instead of on flash memory.
Even when
I overload it, the offending process just shuts down instead
of
locking up the whole system. This was happening when I had
6-8
torrents queued in rtorrent. Now I just keep it around 3-4
and it
works great.
