Systems Engineer (Philippines)

Location: Manila

Reporting to the Regional Manager (Systems Engineering) in Singapore, this position is a technical pre-sales role based in Philippines (Manila) responsible to oversee all technical and engineering issues to help drive the company’s business in Philippines

Essential Job and Responsibilities:

•Work closely with the Indonesia Sales Manager to develop our business with key customers in the Commercials & Service Providers space. Understand the technical requirements of these customers and fitting products / solutions into the opportunities

•Learn relevant solution sets, architectures and full product line specifications

•Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services

•Provide specific solutions/technology/ product consulting, technical and sales support for accounts in assigned territory

•Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects ultimately driving a deeper sell into each customer using your strong relationships with the customer. Aiming for a greater understanding of the customers business and the solutions we can provide

• Train the channel sales and technical teams in positioning & selling our products & solutions. And in the process, shall position the company as the preferred solution partners for these channels

Related Business / Technical Knowledge:

•Bachelor’s degree is required.

•In-depth knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one of the following area's of specialization: VoIP, Security, Wireless, LAN/WAN Internetworking or Broadband Access networking

•Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria and applications

•Demonstrated Solutions based selling strategies and consultative selling skills

•Competitive knowledge (in their area of specialization) including solution, technology and product offerings

•Understanding and conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

Skills Required:

•Excellent written and verbal communications and strong presentation skills are required.

•Ability to work effectively and add value as a team member is necessary, with demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills.

•Strong problem solving skills are required, including the ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action.

•5 years of working experience in technical pre-sales capacity, with good understanding of Data / Voice / Wireless Networking is essential. Working experience with a vendor or systems integrator in the networking/telecommunications/infocomm industry would be of advantage.

•Certifications in areas of networking, security or computing/IT will be an added advantage
