Greetings!
Mobius (a division of Digital Media Exchange) is an online
gaming
company which offers a fun, creative and technically
challenging
environment with excellent compensation and benefits. We
are currently
looking for a database guru as well as 2-3 web developers to
join our
software development team. We employ open-source
technologies such as
PHP and PostgreSQL, but don't fret if you don't have
experience with
those specific technologies. If you're smart, willing to
learn and
passionate about architecting and building cool, scalable
web
applications, then I encourage you to apply by sending your
resume to
me or hr mobius.ph. Here's the lowdown:
For the database guru position, we are looking for a
generalist who has
experience in architecting, deploying and managing highly
concurrent,
scalable database systems. We use PostgreSQL and MySQL, but
we'll
happily talk to you if your experience is with other DBMS's
such as
Oracle or SQLServer. It's more important that you have
strong
relational modeling skills, knowledge of SQL & SQL
programming, as well
as experience in handling and tuning large databases. Data
warehouse
knowledge is a big plus - we generate a large amount of data
in our
games and billing system which needs to be mined to yield
useful
business intelligence for our marketing team.
We are also looking for 2 or 3 web developers who have
experience
creating complex and scalable web applications from
conception to
completion. We run various highly trafficked websites,
including
several game portals, forums, an online game
exchange/auction, as well
as an ecommerce site. We are looking to create a social
networking
platform, built on top of the relationships which exist
in-game, so web
2.0 knowledge is a must. Like any good web developer, the
ideal
candidate should have knowledge of HTML/Ajax, web services,
database
design, networking and shell scripting, as well as a good
understanding
of UI best practices.
Please send your resumes to hr mobius.ph. We also offer a
bonus for
referrals.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
