when I run the Oracle 9.2.0.1 installer the GUI starts and then I get
this message in the console:
Font specified in font.properties not found
[--symbol-medium-r-normal--*-%d-*-*-p-*-adobe-fontspecific]
I have the xorg-x11-deprecated-libs package installed, but when I run
ttmkfdir
I get command not found. I'm sure what's going on as from the Red Hat
docs it seems this and other commands are part of the core X font
subsystem. Without these commands I'm nore sure how to add the font in
and whether it will be picked up by X Server.
This Oracle Install has been pretty painful. I quite new to RHEL4. I'm
reasonable on Sun Solaris, but this has thrown up some pulling my hair
kind of issues.
Any help greatly appreciated.
