Causes for araneida to hang?

Are there any common conditions that can cause araneida to
become totally
unresponsive and hang, as opposed to just signaling a
condition and dumping a
backtrace?

I'm trying to figure out why my app server stops responding
w/o warning, with
no obvious causes in the stack trace.

Try a Ctrl-C in the REPL.

I'll keep that in mind.  Is there a way to handle this in
code so that my site
doesn't go down in the meantime?

Unfortunately, an incident like this one is bringing
pressure to bear on me to
drop lisp and move to apache/script-based solutions.  I
*can't* let that
happen.  :-/
