Hi Lee,
It's great to have you on board checking things out and possibly helping on the web side. The developers are right now in serious bug-squashing mode, so every report you can hand over to us is welcome.
Personally, I'm also running into some problems with the setup of the storage server, but I'm not sure if it's because I've got something fishy with my Ubuntu Edgy install. If you're interested, you might want to drop in at #livesupport on freenode.net.
It's also excellent that you heard about the project via LUGradio. I only found out after the interview with Sava Tatic that Jono Bacon of LUGradio is also the developer of Jokosher, and it also works on top of Gstreamer; at one point he was even reporting the same bugs to Gstreamer that we were. As Stephen Wright says, "It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it."

...of my introduction, here is the makefile error from trying to build tonights SVN trunk

I began on an fresh and up to date Ubuntu 6 system and followed the steps from the wiki

Lo and behold,
http://localhost/~lee/livesupport/storageServer/var
replies with a 403 Forbidden. It's late and I don't want to see how livesupport is using the userdir module. I'll check back tomorrow.
