Jon, you should be able switch to the CURRENT OpenBSD ports
tree. That
probably just means that there will be slightly more risk of
a broken
port, since you'll be using the "cutting edge"
ports. If you use CVS to
update your ports tree you would just need to use "cvs
up -A" next time
you do "cvs up" to get the CURRENT ports instead
of the STABLE ports.
On the other hand, you could also continue to use STABLE
ports, it's
just that you would never see any change from now (no ports
will be
updated to newer versions etc). I don't think the existing
ports and
packages already there for STABLE will be "going
away", they just won't
be updated.
