I remember that vieweing it before have different results.
So what
could trigger this behavior. This have something to do with
tables.
At least I need to know is this lynx problem, gcc bug,
ncurses bug or
something else.
tested with lynx dev7 and dev8 (but I remember that dev7 was
OK) And
recent changes have nothing to do with this.
So please test it with your lynx version(s) and if problem
arise send
full lynx version, gcc used to build it, ncurses version,
libc
implementation ...

Works fine here at www.fosdem.org despite the sucky WLAN:
Lynx Version 2.8.7dev.7-MirOS (02 Aug 2007)
libwww-FM 2.14, SSL-MM 1.4.1, OpenSSL 0.9.7m, ncurses

No compilation information available.
gcc version 3.4.6 (propolice; gpc; MirOS 0A80)

I'd assume "lynx". However, I'm not seeing a
problem in a quick check -
lynx rapidly displays the page (using dev.8 which I
compiled, or dev.7
from Debian/testing). valgrind indicates that it allocated
about 4Mb.

That is, it doesn't appear in the default configuration. If
you turn off
color-style, there's some problem.
(Some of the table-rendering logic is intertwined with the
color-style
code)

Yes, it causes serious problems here:
I have 1 GB memory & it got upto 1,8 GB swap before
I killed it;
I have a very fast machine (Intel Core 2 Duo 2,67 GHz,
memory 1150 MHz)
& it was seriously slowed by all the activity.
Lynx 2.8.7-d7 , Gcc 4.1.2 , Ncurses 5.6-r2 , Glibc 2.6.1 ,
all on an upto-date Gentoo Linux 2.6.23-r3 system.

Bingo!
If lynx is compiled with exp nested tables and nested tables
are
enabled it doesnt hang.

It looks like this is bug from begining - 2.8.3 I would be
glad to
know where to fetch older sources.
To reproduce just reload that document with (~)
NESTED_TABLES key.
I hope that this is really lynx problem so please confirm.

Nice. This one doesnt hang. And do not have TRSTable.c
It renders the same as lynx 2.8.7 with nested tables.
Again, I need confirm that lynx hangs with NESTED_TABLES
off.

I have nested tables off & it does hang as described
previously:
#COLOR_STYLE: lynx.lss
...
# It is enabled by default when the COLOR_STYLE
configuration is used,
# and false otherwise.
#NESTED_TABLES: true
(Thanks for not top-posting (smile))
