Thanks, I just remembered that this was alread discussed
here. The
compilation now works, but mplayer crashes at start
immediately.

Did anybody else monitor this behave?
I'm short on time this week, so I can't proceed with the
further steps on
reporting a bug right now.

I've experienced this only with liba52 and AC3 at first.
Later mplayer
releases've added mp3lib as well. And AFAIK later almost
anything...except DTS (works fine). I could not locate the
problem. The
"solution" was switching back to gcc 4.2.1 (in my
case) from gcc 4.3.0.
The other custom libs (e.g. pthreads, fontconfig..) works ok
(built with
gcc 4.3.0).

I'm using the latest svn from today.

I am also using 4.3.0 since it was released and I remember
that no problem
existed with version 4.2.2.

Has anybody of the developers tried compiling under *cygwin*
with gcc
4.3.0?

succesfull mingw builds:
gcc 4.2.3
binutils 2.17 - NOT 2.18

but most important mingw runtime should be compiled
with binutils 2.17, the one on mingw site is ok

binutils 2.18 is not able to handle attribute aligned 16

if you want to use 2.18 you should disable sse

Hi,

osdeps/mplayer.rc searches for version.h in the same
directory
while the file is in the parent

I doubt any developer has used 4.3.0. At least I personally
do not use
.0 gcc versions anymore.
