Bob,

We need to keep looking for those jobs with a
'weekly retainer'
Core time of about 2 hours a week ( a lunchtime)
and the job lasts till you get it right

I know they're out there' cos I worked at a 'government
controlled
organisation'
where the Data Analyst had a contract like that.

Every Wednesday he'd turn up, deliver another database
dictionary &
structure revamp complete with substantial set of new (or
re-cycled) errors,
collect his paycheck, and go to lunch.

The organisation was disbanded after they decided to get rid
of the testing
team because, by our continual rejection of the design and
code, we were
delaying the project too much.
(Yes code before design)

When the new organisation took over, the project went
'live', and made the
press - 40% of the clients reported errors in their records,
and that's only
the parts of their records they were allowed to see!
