Thanks, but I got enough headaches already.

As in - the emails I started going through on my return from
Xmas leave
included ..

One of the 'users' - accounts section have (email late on
the Thursday
before Xmas) asked for their payments reporting facility to
show net, VAT
(tax) and gross values for one specified portion of their
expenditure items,
and to simply show gross for the other specified portion.
As in a payment of £300 net - split 1/3 and 2/3 so - that's
£100 net, £17.50
tax and £117.50 gross, with the next line on the control
docket showing the
2/3 as £235.00 gross.

And they want it for Jan 1st

So who's spotted the problems
As in 1/3 and 2/3 of £11 are...
and the tax on £11 is 1.925p (round to be £1.93) -
so that's 1/3 = ?? + £0.6416
and 2/3 is ?? + £1.283 - round, then sum and you get
£1.91

Oh! yes, and it's a legal requirement that the company have
to report the
net sales, tax collected and net purchases, and tax paid out
as 4 separate
entries (and that's for UK transactions - there's additional
entries
required for other EU , and for non-EU transactions)

No mention of how they will be indicating the portions for
each
expenditure/billing item either.

Yes - it's their accounting section that want this change

JimB
