Maybe this is any help for your porting project.......and also hopefully you can tell me what is the problem with my installation.
I'm not sure what happens there either ... try compiling everything with:
make messages=yes
That should print some additional info. It's not necessary to restart from the beginning ... everything except the last step looks ok. Thank you Peter
