The new Treo 700p has usb and bluetooth DUN capability and
if you use a
program called USBModem you don't have to sign up for the
tethering
option (you do need to have a PowerVision or EVDO option)
from Verizon
or Sprint...

Now Verizon is one thing but there is a Sprint plan which
for $30 or
$50 (500 or 1250 minutes) per month you get high speed
internet. It
is called the SERO plan and is all you need (along with
USBmodem) to
use your Treo 700p as a high-speed modem with OS X.
