Version 1.2.1 is newest for OS 10.4.8. THe driver is for OS
to talk
to the cable chip ! HAS nothing to do with the phone.
But , you will need to delete any previous old versions from
the
system/library/extensions folder.
Also with the cable plugged in, do a system profile and
verify the
you have the correct cable. In its description, you will see
2303 in
there. If not then you need to find a driver for the non
prolific
pl2303 chip or if it even has a usb to serial chip in it.
(can't talk
to the serial phone port with out this)

I really appreciate your help. It does show 2303 in
profiler, and when I open BitPim, it
shows that I have a device connected. The problem is that
it is listed in BitPim under Ports
Not Available and says it was not possible to open this
port.
