Motorola Locked Pictures

I don't doubt that this has probably been addressed before,
but I can't find the answer 
anywhere.

I have a (Verizon) Motorola V265, and I'd like to delete
the locked pictures that Motorola put 
in the thing.  I just got a data cable, but apparently,
that's not enough.  I can sync via that 
cable just fine, but I can't find a way to get to those
pics.  Does it require some special 
software?

I know that I once read somewhere that this can be done. 
Can anyone help me?
