I have a Treo 650 and Verizon. I was not able to get
anything to work to get
my phone to act as a modem. Iıve had 3 other phones that
connected great but
the Treo wouldnıt work. I finally ran across a software
package called USB
Modem (I got mine from Handango) and it works!!!!! First try
I was online.
This was with the cable. At present I donıt think there is
bluetooth
solution for Verizon without a hack. If Iım wrong, I hope
someone will tell
us how itıs done. I havenıt seen anything come through this
group for quite
a long time on the Treo 650.

A word of caution however, I was charged data minutes on my
Verizon bill and
this was the only possible use of data I had. If you plan to
use this method
of getting online you better have a data plan or it will be
costly. Verizon
does have ³tethering plan² if you want to do it alot. They
told me it was
$15.00 a month ‹ that was 3 or 4 months ago. They make
changes to their data
plans often so I donıt know if thatıs the current price or
not.

Good Luck!

I know this has been discussed before, and has been possible
for a long
time. Can someone
point me to a current, working FAQ or step-by-step for
connecting my Treo
650 to my mac
running OS X 10.4.7 over bluetooth, or the included Sync
cable, for
accessing the internet (on
National Access) on my Powerbook.

I looked in the How To Guides for this group and didn't see
one for that
combo in particular.
If I missed it, a link to that guide would be great, too.

Thanks for the help,

Mike
