Mot L7 as Bluetooth Modem -> Cingular; "Unexpectedly hungup error"

All~

I have a Motorola L7 SLVR that I have been previously using successfully to connect to the
'net through Cingular. I used the "MOTOROLA 3G CID1" modem script, plus all of the
instructions from Ross Barkman's excellent site at http://www.taniwha.org.uk/.

I use a Mac PowerBook G4, OSX Ver 10.4.8.

Everything worked! That is, until this morning... I forgot to disconnect the laptop modem
and made a call on the SLVR. Eventually, the modem disconnected. I've done this in the
past, and usually get a connection problem, but I resolve that by restarting both the Mac
and the phone, and, if necessary, re-pairing the two via bluetooth.

But now, no matter what I do, I get the infernal "The modem has unexpectedly hungup.
Please verify your settings and try again." message. I have done all of the usual tricks, but
nothing seems to work. I have verified that the "Enable Error Correction and Compression
in Modem"; and "USE TCP HEADER COMPRESSION" fields are _not_ checked. I have deleted
the pairing and re-paired, hot-cycled the phone, used a slew of alternate modem scripts...
all without success.

I have a verbose log file of the attempted connection in .rtf format and readily email it out.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
Jim
