Help in tethering a LG CU500 to a PowerMac G4 (OS X 10.4.8)

Hi all,

Seems that people have had success in tethering a LG CU500. Could
someone help me out?

I followed the directions on

I replaced the info.plist file
I updated the Kernel Extension Cache
I rebooted the computer
I repaired the permissions

***What I did not see was step 5. I did not see the Pop-up window
saying the LG USB Modem was recognized correctly. The CU500 does show
up in Apple System Profiler
