Anyone ever try to get a TuneCast II by Belkin to work with an iPhone
when it's being used in iPod mode? I bought a TuneCast II and when I
plug the transmitter plug in, it still plays through the speaker. I
know it's not the TuneCast because it will broadcast the sound out of
my iBook. Maybe it's the iPhone's headphone jack?

Guess it's back to Wal-Mart to take it back tomorrow. Wonder if the
Griffin iTrip will work any better?

The iPhone speaker plug is Recessed - deeper in the iPhone
case so
you need an adapter. The plug that comes with any device
likely
doesn't fit in to make the connection to work.

See this adapter to understand:

I suggest that you visit the website of any audio accessory you wish
to use with your iPhone. If it does not state on the packaging that
it works with the iPhone, it may not correctly get audio from the
iPhone's dock connector.

For example, the current iTrip from Griffin does NOT work with the
iPhone:

They say one is "Coming Soon"

This was EXACTLY what I need -- I am ordering one and you need to ask
the company to send you a commission.

You can also use the TTY adapter available at the Apple Store. More
expensive, but you can get it quicker. And it's quite a bit smaller
