Good morning, everyone!

Bless you, thank you for the high compliment. We are doing very well
using the smart phone Nokia E62 for tethering with my iMac when we
are in our motorhome. As we did with the old Motorola v551, we simply
have the media net plan and it does all that we needed to do.
Obviously it's not as fast as the 3G access, but it is very
serviceable for us. It is probably a bulkier phone than many people
want, and it does not have a camera, but that doesn't matter for my
husband or daughter. It complements my iPhone very well. We have two
of them and we have never had a problem with them, although I will
say it is very slow to boot up. The first one is probably two years
old or more now, the other one is about eight months old. Regardless,
they have worked very well for our needs. We are still using the Ross
Barkman scripts very successfully and it is how I send mail, since I
still have not figured out WiFi mail sending on my iPhone. Heck, AT&T
can't even tell me how to do it on EDGE.

Hope this helps... I know this phone was still available last fall,
but they may be discontinued by now. It looks like a very tough and
rugged phone, though, so it would be worth the investment. We bought
Nichole's online refurbished for only $30. A whole lot better than
what my husband paid at nearly $150 a year plus earlier after
discounts and rebates.

Hope that helps someone else...
Valerie

I will say one thing about the Nokia S60 phones. They tether very
well, sync well and run well with macs. The only thing better than
tethering is Joiku Spot. This turns your Nokia S60 Symbian OS phone
into a mini hotspot. I can't imagine how many TOS you are violating by
using the software with a media net plan, but it was very cool on my
e61. Not blazing but works just as good as tethering. (and you can use
your iPhone or laptop or whatever on 802.11)

This really makes me want to go out and buy an e51 with 3g. I highly
doubt you'll ever see a Apple authorized version of this type software
for your iPhone.(not as long as AT&T has a contract with them)
