Yeah, I had total failure with the apple provided scripts and a AT&T
BB Pearl 8100c with firmware version 4.2.1.96. The old taniwha scripts
were NG as well with 10.5

Don't know there, i'm running on 4.3.0 and it's flawless on
the WWAN support
