Connecting over Cell Voice Line

Hi All,
I used to use my Sony-Ericson Z600 cell phone as a modem with my
powerbook - I don't have data service enabled on my phone. Then I
installed Leopard, and now I can't connect - it seems they removed the
option of using the voice line only on the cell phone as a modem, and
can only connect using a data-enabled cell phone. (The bluetooth
device setup assistant used to have a "use voice line" option, and not
that's gone.)
Anyone know a way around this?
