We use mostly Schneider (7 Premiums) and Omron (4 CJ1 and 2
CS1) PLCs, and
Profibus, DeviceNet, Modbus (RTU, ASCII, TCP) and RTPS
networks (almost 20
slaves overall). We also have a couple LCD touch panels, one
hmi web card,
several speed controllers, etc... I believe we are currently
quite well
equiped in industrial grade equipment.
What we are currently looking for now is for mechanical
devices that the
students may control. At the moment we are more inclined
towards the small
models at

as we would like to have at least 6 groups working
simultaneously in the lab,
and 6 of the the festo/amatrol type systems would be a tight
fit in the 67 m2
lab along with the existing workbenches, and would probably
come out too
expensive.
Cheers,
Mario.
