I am still having trouble compiling.  I have reloaded
cairo-1.2.6.tar.gz
atk1.0_1.9.1.orig.tar.gz
comedilib_0.7.22.orig.tar.gz
glade-2.12.1.tar.gz
glib-2.12.7.tar.gz
gtk+-2.10.7.tar.gz
gtk+extra_0.99.16.orig.tar.gz
libglade_0.17.orig.tar.gz
pango-1.14.8.tar.gz

somewhere in the mix gtk-config and glade-config was found.

I'm working thru a problem with glib 2.12.7 having a
conflict with 2.10.3

as soon as I find this I will be back to mat-plc coruscant
compiling.

They should be in the relevant development packages
(gnome-config should be
in
the package libgnome-dev, for example).
