System configuration update problem

Hi,

I have experienced a similar problem. The pop-up window was
displayed every time
when I clicked on 'Stats'.  
The solution was to replace the current PEAR::Log 1.9.7 with
an older version
1.9.3.

I cannot reproduce on Ubuntu with php5 and Log 1.9.7;
however, I had problems
recognizing the smarty libs with 1.0.1.  Some fixes are in
the trunk for this.

I did manage to get an empty popup once, when I had a bad
link to the Smarty path.

Greg, I wonder if this is related to your problem.  You
