As Stefan suggested, the most likely problem is that your
downstream MTA
may not be allowing connections from your web server host
(where the
rescue attempts are originating). By default, you've
probably
configured the downstream MTA to accept connections on port
10025, but
only from localhost--that's a very reasonable precaution in
most cases,
since you don't want people to be able to submit mail
directly to your
downstream MTA and bypass your filters. But when you've
got your
downstream MTA on a separate host from your web server, you
need to also
allow connections from the web server host.

In short, check the configuration for your downstream MTA
and make sure
it allows connections from your web server host.
