courierfilter support neded.

Hello,

First I'm new to this list,
and now my first question.

Im using on 5 servers the courier mail server
(one at home, at my isp, at work etc ....)
and im very hapy with it.

To now, I'm using amavisd-new
with the courierfilter interface,
wich has the advantage that i can
reject spam before it reaches my mailqueue.

No i want to use maia,
but amavisd-maia hasn't included the code for courier.

Can someone help me,
i think filtering with courierfilter
and reinjecting over the sendmail binary
should work because i can
configure courier to only filter messages witch are
coming from the esmtp module.

Is it already possible to use the courierfilter interface or
where to go with this feature request ?

Courier support has never been a 'standard' part of
amavisd-new or
amavisd-maia; it has always been supplied as a separate
patch file.

In the Maia tarball, you should find a file:

  reference/amavisd-new-2.2.1/amavisd-new-courier.patch

which needs to be applied to amavisd-maia in order to add
Courier
support.  The patch was designed for amavisd-new-2.2.1,
however, not for
amavisd-maia, so it may not apply cleanly (a few of the
hunks are likely
to fail).  If the patching process fails, you will have to
examine the
patch (specifically the *.rej files from the failed hunks)
and make the
changes manually to amavisd-maia.
