Thank you all for the quick responses!
I definitely get that once the mail is at the GroupWise
client, it's way beyond Maia's scope and reach... I want to
get rid of everything with a score of 18.000 or more way
before it reaches the GroupWise system. Deleted or
quarantined, either way, as long as it's not going to be
delivered.
I also use the Maia quarantine, and like it a lot, however,
when sampling our user community, they would rather have the
mail delivered to the GroupWise client, than have login to
another server and sift through mail.
If I have to wait and see what the next release of Maia
brings, that's cool, I just wanted to see if anyone had
another way around this.

That doesn't sound as hard as you are making it. Have you
tried setting:
Consider mail 'Spam' when Score is >= (whatever
threshold you want mail
to go to groupwise's spam folder)
and :
Quarantine Spam when Score is >= 18

Yes I have, however when I save the settings then go back in, it reverts back to "Quarantine Spam when Score is >= 999.000". There doesn't appear to be a way to over-ride it.

Two possible misconceptions I see on your part -
1. You overstate the difficulty of clicking on the link in
the digest email
message, which by so doing, the user "logs into another
server". Or perhaps
I'm not familiar enough with groupwise, does it lack the
ability to handle
URLs in email messages?
2. You say the users would have to "sift through the
mail" if they use the
quarantine, but in fact "sifting through the mail"
is what they are stuck
doing with their current groupwise junk folder setup. If
they use the maia
quarantine, the mail is automatically "sifted" for
them, i.e. sorted by spam
score, with the most likely false positves/negatives by
default at the
beginning of the respective lists. In practice, I only look,
as Danita
mentioned, at the first few messages in the quarantine to
check for false
positives, with succeeding messages being increasingly
blatant spam.
The quarantine and digests are real time savers for the
users.

Currently Maia only allows either labeling or quarantining,
not both,
so it resets the scores to enforce that. We're working on a
better
solution...
