Bear in mind, first of all, that the OCR routines are only
invoked on
mail items that contain inline images; it would be extremely
wasteful
(and pointless) to invoke the OCR routines on every single
email. In
other words, you shouldn't expect to see the FuzzyOcr rules
being tested
on every email, just on email that contains inline images.
Next, Maia sees what SpamAssassin sees, so whatever you see
when you do
a "spamassassin -D --lint" (invoked as your
amavis/maia user) is what
Maia would see. Check the output of that command for the
FuzzyOcr
plugin messages to verify that all is well.
Finally, run the load-sa-rules.pl script to make sure that
Maia knows
the names and descriptions of the FuzzyOcr rules, so that it
can display
them properly in the web-based mail viewer.
