Problem with modifying scores

Hi there,

Just did a fresh install of 1.0.2.

When I go into Domain Admin and modify the spam scores for
any domain,
the "Quarantine" value always overwrites the
"Consider" value. Say I set
1.0 / 2.0 / 2.5 and hit save, it'll save as 1.0 / 2.0 /
2.0.

Is this a known bug? Should I be using SVN?

Thanks,

- Darren

It's not a bug, it's a feature. In fact, an archive search
on that
phrase would probably bring up dozens of answers to this
question ;)
It's a FAQ that really needs to be written up in the wiki,
as it's
getting tiresome to answer.

Current versions of Maia (1.0.x) only support one action per
destiny, so
if the mail is determined to be spam, you can only do one
thing with
it--it can be "Labeled", "Quarantined",
or "Discarded". Once you choose
that destiny, the range of valid score thresholds narrows,
because some
values would be inconsistent with the destiny you specified.
 Maia
forces the score thresholds to values that make sense for
the destiny
you selected. For instance, if you specified that you want
spam to be
"Labeled", then obviously the quarantine threshold
needs to be forced to
something absurdly high, like 999, so that mail is never
quarantined.
Similarly, if you specified that you want spam
"Quarantined", then
anything that's above the spam threshold must also be above
the
quarantine threshold to make that happen, so Maia forces
those two
values to be the same.

In the next generation (Maia 1.1.x) we're introducing a more
flexible
system of score thresholds and associated actions, such that
you'll be
able to distinguish between "High-Probability
Spam", "Low-Probability
Spam", "Low-Probability Non-Spam", and
"High-Probability Non-Spam", all
distinguished by configurable thresholds, and assign
configurable
actions to each of those ranges.
