(my apologies if this makes it through twice, I sent it from
the wrong sender
address originally)
Hello,
I'm having an issue where many of my users, myself included,
make frequent use
of recipient delimiters. For example, this message is sent
with the "+maia"
delimiter. My users then filter mail into various mailboxes
based on the
delimiter. This also provides users with a way to track
where their spam is
coming from, etc.
In my setup, there are several virtual-alias domains, all of
which are
resolved to user primarydomain.com prior to being handed
off to maia. At
present, this works well for us, as in general we don't care
to distinguish
(as far as spam/virus settings) where it got sent, just
which user will end up
receiving it. If a mail is sent to userA+some_delimiter virtdomain2.com, maia
sees it, and processes it as userA+some_delimiter primarydomain.com.
The problem that arises is that when mail is received, maia
doesn't recognize
that user+delimiter domain.com is really the same as user domain.com. The
catch-all user ends up catching these, and thus the users
preferences are
bypassed.
I've set recipient_delimiter to '+' in both amavisd.conf and
config.php. Is
there something that I'm missing, or is there at present no
way to accomplish
what I'm trying to do?
Thanks,
Edward Roper
