Have you checked out your memory_limit setting ins your
php.ini file? I
was having the same problem and that was the problem. I had
the limit
set too low, after bumping it up to 100MB it worked great
(after
rebooting apache).

OK - now it's getting weird. I was just now able to rescue a

with a
banned file attachment, but the message with the .zip file
is still
unavailable to me. The message that I was just now able to
rescue had an
OpenOffice.org file attached - logfunctions.ods - and the
rescue went as
expected.
