Yes, that's how it works--mail addressed to recipients that
can't match
specific users default to the domain default (if a matching
domain
exists), or to the system default (if no matching domain
exists). They
should fall through to the " ." account.
That said, the default configuration for Maia doesn't cache
or
quarantine any mail for the " ." account, since that
mail is assumed to
be addressed to non-local recipients, i.e. outbound mail.
If you want
outbound mail filtered (and therefore cached and
quarantined), you need
to go to the System Configuration page and set the
"Should the System
Default user ( .) only catch mail for local
recipients?" toggle to "No".
