How might I go about setting up a process that would notify
an end-user immediately upon a mail being quarantined due to
a banned attachment?
Given that
a) document transmission via email is now considered nearly
mission critical and
b) new vulnerabilities are being discovered every day (PDFs,
fer cryin' out loud! Just yesterday!)
I'd like to start ratcheting down ingress, and quarantine
almost everything that can carry a virus, but can't do that
now as users aren't, um, well, some phrases come to mind,
but let's just say that impeding the flow of these
attachments too much will garner me much ill will.
Sending an email to the recipient, noting the sender,
subject and file name would mitigate this concern.
