Please help! "is only avaliable with the XS version"

I upgraded some of my system software and now when I try to
start amavisd-
maia, I get:

Even though I have them installed, the configtest.pl tells
me that 
Archive::Zip and Compress::Zlib are not installed.

This is the main mail server for several domains, so I am
desparate.

See if you have the perl module Scalar::Utils. On my unix
server, it is
called Scalar::List::Utils, but I think you are running
Linux? If that
checks out, check what versions of Zlib modules do you have?
I show...
