I'm not sure if you have resolved this (couldn't see it in
the list
messages) but this output is showing a wait state of 96.8%.
This would
indicate an I/O issue, ie your server is furiously
reading/writing to
disk while your CPU is idling.

Yeah, I got that one: The bottleneck is the linux software
RAID 1...and
I don't have a way to resolve that. The amount of overhead
it's taking is
staggering. But I think if I can out from under this
multiple thousand
message backlog it'll be sufficient for a 15k/day server.
