Dear all,
I have a running maia 1.2.0 with system wide virus
statistics around
60.000 on November 2007. But on Januari 2008, we see that
this number
decreased to around 30.000. AFAIK this statistic was number
of total
inbound email virus that has received by Maia, but how come
the number
become smaller?

The "Viruses/Malware" statistic should not
decrease on its own. However
it is possible that someone with superadmin privileges went
to the
Admin->Statistics page and reset the virus statistics,
which would zero
those out. Similarly, if you've had any other database
maintenance done
which might have cleared the maia_stats table, that could be
the cause.
Under normal operations, though, the viruses/malware
counter never
decreases.

Thank's Robert, but I am very sure there's no one reset the
statistic
counter and also there's no database maintenance for the
past 3 months.
Is it possible because of deleting unused domains and users
on the past
cause this? (refer to previous old thread

Yes, that would do it, certainly. The stats records are
stored on a
per-account basis, and the total is simply the sum of all
the account
statistics. If you delete accounts, the associated stats
records for
those accounts are also deleted, so yes, your totals will
decrease
accordingly.
