Problem solved…
The Maia server was running low on disk space. Once I deleted some old logs and temp files mail started flowing correctly.

Subject: User Getting "550 MAIL FROM failed" When Releasing Messages
We have a user that forwards her email from another provider to our email system that is filtered by Maia. This user is unable to release quarantined messages forwarded from the other email system. She gets: " 550 MAIL FROM failed".
Just to illustrate a bit more clearly, let's say the user's email address on the other email system is UserRemoteSystem.com">UserRemoteSystem.com. There is a setting in that remote mail system to forward all email to userMaiaEmailSystem.com">userMaiaEmailSystem.com. We have other users with this same configuration that are able to receive email from RemoteSystem.com successfully.
Any thoughts?
