Spoke too soon, the new stats-recalc.pl errors out.  Will
work on it more.
Wondering if a flag can be added to the original script to
not run it or run
it depending on the need...  Humm.

What error did you get?  I run that script all the time and
it doesn't 
error.

oops, my bad, that patch was made with a messed up svn diff
and somehow 
pulled the wrong stats-recalc.pl from my repo.

Here's the correct script.
