Trying to install Maia with the new FreeBSD port and it
tells me the
following directly after selecting options...
===> maia-1.0.2a requires 32-bit libraries installed
under /usr/lib32
Does this mean this port, or even worse, Maia cannot run
under amd64?
mx1# uname -imrs
FreeBSD 6.3-RELEASE-p1 amd64 GENERIC

Thanks David, I figure it is with the port, the port works
great on
i386. I'll wait a day or so to see if the maintainer can
confirm.
We are going to put Maia on this server with Postfix 2.5 to
take
advantage of the new stress feature, please let me know if
anyone knows
of any issues. Postfix 2.5/SA 3.2.4.

I am unsure why this would be the case unless a dependency
port won't
compile on AMD64. I don't currently have any AMD64 machines
handy to
test on so I'm afraid I won't be much help without someone
else to
test for me. However, I haven't put anything into the
Makefile to fail
on any arch. Especially being as Maia doesn't need to be
compiled.
Only it's dependencies do. So, I would check to see where
exactly it
is failing and look into that. If you can't seem to figure
it out, let
me know and I'll do my best to help you resolve this
problem.

There you are, I searched my Inbox for some communique we
had while ago,
thanks again for the port. I see the port maintainer is
listed
differently is why I couldn't find this address and let you
know.
Sure was a dep, I was selecting archivers/rar, guess that
needs it.
Without all went without a switch, thanks again.

Hi,
I think you can solve this by :
Running sysinstall --> distributions --> select lib32
--> then ok let
sysinstall do its work.
Then thy to reinstall the port.
Greetings,
Jeffrey Schilperoord
