Greetings list:
On friday I have to go to our other location in Monroe to
upgrade our backup
MX and set it up using the maia system. Since this is
roughly a two-hour
trip, I definately wanna do it right the first time.
How do most of you have this sort of setup configured?
Right now, my
primary MX runs amavisd-new, postfix, maia, and SA. My
secondary MX is not
being filtered by SA/maia at all currently, it is still on
our old
SurfControl system.
I can't just have that MX forward everything to this one as
that defeats the
purpose of having a backup in case thisone goes down. It
also would make no
sense to have two copies of maia and the database... Do
most of you store
maia and the db on a seperate server? What happens when
that server goes
down, will the messages be queued for insertion later or do
they just not
ever show up in the quarantine/cache's?
