trunk build failure on msvc

I'm currently seeing:

utils.cc
c:srcxapianxapian-corecommonutils.h(84) : error C2061:
syntax error :
identifier 'mode_t'
c:srcxapianxapian-corecommonutils.h(85) : error C2065:
'mode' :
undeclared identifier

I *think* I've done everything correctly this time in terms
of updating svn
and rebuilding 

My solution was to add:

typedef int mode_t;

to safestat.h - and I guess the signature of mkdir in that
file should
change to mode_t too?

I've made a bit of an attempt to setup xapian building on
our 'buildbot'
(basically a Python version of 'tinderbox').  At
http://buildbo
t.enfoldsystems.com/all/, the right-most column is a
build
called 'xapian-msvc', and it is currently failing with the
same error I
reported earlier.  I can't find a better link that shows
only this project
and the logfiles from the most recent build.

This might not be reliable yet - I don't believe it will see
SVN checkins
and rebuild, but if you enter the '#enfold' IRC channel on
freenode and send
a message to 'enfold-buildbot: force build xapian-msvc', it
should magically
happen.  I'll see if I can get this resolved over the next
few days.
