Hi all,

In this alpha release, localization files has been changed
to all use
the UTF-8 encoding. This allows the use of several languages
within
the same Mantis instance. The upgrade path to non-English
installations is not yet implemented, hence, this alpha
release SHOULD
ONLY BE USED FOR ENGLISH installations. Among the major
updates is the
roadmap feature. There has been a database schema changes
since
1.1.0a1 release, hence, the install script will need to be
executed.

Talking about this, WRT distribution packaging, can you
think of a way
to trigger the schema update in an unattended way?

For example, it would be good if I could run, from the shell
on the
machine where mantis is running, something like:

php /path/to/mantis/install.php --updateschema

Sounds like a good idea. I didn't look at the code, but I
think in
the upgrade scenario we have all the database connection
information
and passwords we need to connect to the database and upgrade
the
schema.

I would suggest reporting an issue in the bug tracker for
this. If
someone contributes this then I would be happy to integrate
the patch.

Victor

Here it is:

I hope it could be implemented before 1.1.0 proper.
